Most of our members work part time or full time in large organisations where the senior management tiers are dominated by men. For the foreseeable future, that last fact won't change fast. Work practices and workplace culture will continue largely to reflect the norms and assumptions of those in charge, in other words of men who work full time and can commit 100% to their career throughout their career.

The impact stretches from double standards about leadership (he's assertive, but she's aggressive) right down to the pies and custard squares served at working lunches. So how do professional women who want to cope and to climb in an environment defined by men best go about it?

At Professionelle we focus on the things women can control and change for themselves, as well as keeping our finger on the pulse of forward thinking workplaces.

Come and hear us offer our perspective on this ever-challenging issue, and then share your experiences and insights with other professional women at your table.
